Adding a peach garnish to a frozen cocktail.

It'due south starting to feel like summertime around here, so I idea I would revisit an old favorite peach cocktail recipe that involves fresh subcontract peaches, a color blocked puree, and (of course) booze. It's like a beautiful looking alcoholic slushie. What's non to dearest?!

So here's the story… Back when I lived in Georgia, I visited this beautiful subcontract during peach flavor and had so many peaches, I almost didn't know what to do with them all. But then I started thinking most it, and I was able to whip up a handful of peach recipes: from a succulent peach galette in under an hour to a super like shooting fish in a barrel peach crumble.

And then at that place was this peach slushy recipe. I didn't come up up with it though. Linda, my assistant at the time, did. And she nailed it! It'southward then pretty and truly delicious. Plus, you lot tin swap the peaches and strawberries out with nigh any of your favorite fruits.

Now, who's ready for some cocktails?

Naturally, they're colour blocked. Because if you're going to make cocktails, they might as well look cute likewise.

And given that I lived in Atlanta (too dubbed HOTlanta) when we started making these, these cocktails are frozen. Yum! If it were any more summery, information technology would come with its own pool bladder. Here's the recipe…

Peach Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients (makes 1 large serving):

– 2 fresh peaches
– ii cups of fresh strawberries
– two tbsp saccharide
– 1 1/2 cups of Moscato*

*I chose Moscato (from Vii Daughters) for this cocktail because information technology pairs well with peaches, but y'all could easily go with another varietal if yous want to switch information technology up.

How to Make a Peach Cocktail

ane. Prepare the peaches.

Remove the pit from the peaches and piece.

ii. Blend.

Alloy 2 sliced peaches, i tbsp sugar, and ane cup of Moscato until they reach a smooth consistency (30-60 second depending on your blender). Pour into a large glass.

3. Prepare strawberries and blend.

Remove the stems from strawberries and slice.

Then blend two cups of strawberries, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1/2 cup of Moscato. Advisedly pour the strawberry blend into the glass, on elevation of the peach mixture. I plant that tilting the glass and slowly pouring helped to reach the color blocked look.

4. Garnish with a peach wedge.

Add a peach wedge and information technology's ready for sipping.

Note: To get a color blocked cocktail, I blended the peach mix separately from the strawberries, but you lot could always just blend everything together at one time, if you don't intendance about the color blocking.

Picking peaches from a basket outdoors

The day that nosotros made all these peach cocktails felt like whirlwind day. Off to the farm in the morning and and then back to the house to whip these up. It was such a hot day, so information technology felt similar the perfect mode to finish the twenty-four hours.

I had then much fun walking around the grounds with Harmony and snapping pics at the farm that day. We got there pretty early in the morning (all nearly that light, amairight?) and I kept thinking what an crawly way it was to kickoff the day in a field of peach trees just hanging out.

Think you'll give this farm to table cocktail a try? Curious to know… Have you lot ever gone to pick peaches earlier? Did you honey it!?!

P.S. If you're in Georgia, I highly recommend visiting Jaemor Farms. That'south the farm I went to to snag all the peaches. There was so much to see, I couldn't get it all into 1 post. I shared a part two of my farm trip hither (which includes the apple orchard and blackberries). Shout out to Caroline who drove us around on a golf cart and then we could explore anything and everything.
